The One Day Diet is often mistaken as a one day fruit diet because you eat fruit one day along with the One Day Diet Wafer and you eat normally on other days.  So, many people ask us “What fruits can we eat on the One Day Diet?”

What is allowed on the One Day Diet for fruit is very simple; fruit.  Now having said that, I would like to stress that if you want maximum results then let me suggest that you stay away from starchy fruits and citrus.  Bananas, oranges and tangerines are not ideal for this day; too many calories for so little fiber or bulk.  Keep focused on all of the fruits you can FREELY eat.  We have made a list below.   You may have some to add to the list, if we have forgotten some.  (Avocado is a technically a fruit but very high in fat so it is not included in our list.)

We have marked the fruits with a low glycemic index if you want to choose even MORE wisely on your One Day Diet on days. Remember that it is not necessary to pick and choose this way, but it IS even more helpful if you choose low glycemic fruit that is under a score of 55.  They are market with “low glycemic index” next to them.

The One Day Fruit Diet does not just include fruit, but a little more.  We have also included a recipe on this site from the Cabbage Soup Diet as well because it is a “negative calorie recipe”.  That means that the calories and effect on the body of these veggies is so miniscule that they almost don’t exist.
